Today's Affirmation

"Today, I will choose the way of the Spiritual Warrior."

When we embrace our journey toward self-discovery and self-unification, we become the Spiritual Warrior.  We travel the path with purpose and commitment; we accept the challenge of overcoming our lower aspects of self; we accept each moment on the journey as a stepping stone that brings us closer to ourselves, closer to the Divine within us, closer to self-fulfillment, closer to our true purpose.

A spiritual warrior is equipped with all he needs to walk the walk.  He is armed, not with weapons, but with knowledge and skills:  He possesses clarity, discernment, perseverence, intuition, and commitment.

A Spiritual Warrior recognizes that each challenge is a test--a test he administers to himself to mark his progress.  There is no failure with this test.  There is only self-knowledge and a recognition of his of his own limitations--that which is holding him back from moving forward.

When these limitations are recognized, the Spiritual Warrior accepts them and works toward overcoming them.  A Spiritual Warrior never turns his back on the challenge and goes home to sit by the fire.   No, he presses on, knowing what is at stake--true partnership with himself and reunion with this true essence--the Divine within.

A Spiritual Warrior reads the signs on the trail so he will know which way to go next.  He knows when to make camp and rejuvenate himself, give himself sustenance to continue the journey.  Then he takes up his pack--his store of knowledge and skill--and moves on.

The reward of the Spiritual Warrior comes in small increments.  It comes with each success that he has, and when he reviews his successes, he looks back over his shoulder to see how far he has come, and is grateful for the journey and the challenges.  He is  grateful for the wisdom that the journey has given him.

You are now at the Calling Place--the place where you have the choice to become the Spiritual Warrior and to embrace your journey with commitment and vigor.  Or you can turn your back, walk away, and resume the life you were living, devoid of the blessings of the Way.

Choose the way of the warrior.

In Love and Light-Always,
Robin
